Love their selection for breakfast; some of the best biscuits and gravy around. You have to try the hashbrown or home fires upgrades. The service is great, very attentive and friendly. Dining option inside and outside. It can get pretty busy, but the wait is usually not long. Two minute wait on a busy Saturday around 11am.

Great vegan options (including breakfast) and excellent service. Choice of Beyond or Impossible sausage. Strong coffee. Also, I have enjoyed their vegan pancake platters, vegan Reuben, and Fried Corn Tortillas. A bit pricey, but these days what restaurant isn't? We come here every time we are in the area.

I've been coming here since they moved to El Sobrante which I believe is over 20 years know. Love the food, portions and price. I always sit at the counter so I can chop it up with my chefs. Love them guys. They are super hard workers. They waitresses are also super hard workers. Everyone knows me by name. Love the atmosphere and is always very clean. The owners Jennifer and Tod are awesome people. Favorite all time breakfast place

We had breakfast there and it was awesome! We ordered the Polish sausage omelet and they were served with fruits / hash brown. The omelettes had perfect proportion of the sausage, cheese and spinach, it was delicious! The hash brown was crunchy, the toasts were buttery crispy. Yum! We ate 1/3 of my breakfast and then we were told that someone smashed our car! I still managed to finish another bite before rushing out to see what happened. What I worried about was the pastry that I bought earlier in the same plaza being stolen. Were people that hungry? I had my computer in the trunk and there was no way someone would see it. The pastries were still there, but my computer in the trunk was gone! The thief must have seen me taking out my laptop from the front seat and hid it in the trunk. Never leave any valuables in the car including the trunk! The cafe staff and the customers were very nice and sympathetic. The manager even insisted that we don’t pay for the food. We wrapped the 2/3 of the food and was mad that the thief ruined our breakfast experience. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very upset about my computer and the hard drives that had my life’s work. We decide to go to the cafe again and not let anyone ruin the experience. Last but not least, my message to the thief: you’d better be caught by the cops than robbing the wrong guy next time!

Open early, open during holidays except Thanksgiving and Xmas. This spot has been a favorite of ours for going on 15 years or so. It's a warm and inviting atmosphere, got spacious seating, kid friendly. Prices are good, on par with the average bay area breakfast restaurants. They have the best fruit bowl around the east bay, and their omelettes are generous. Thick bacon, great hash browns, and a solid biscuit and gravy. The burgers are big and tasty, and the chicken pesto sandwich is delicious too. The service is consistently great, the quality coffee refills are ever present, and the folks working here have been around for years. We especially love Amber, though all of the servers have been great. Plenty of parking in the lot out front, close to the freeway.

Everyone’s so friendly from the time we walked in. Candace was our waitress. Great personality! I will get to the food in a moment.. as we were walking out I think eight of the employees said bye have a great day there was so many people in there eating. The staff kept it moving prompt with the food coming out warm. I’m from the Boston area and was surprised to see linguica on the menu. I had a buttermilk pancake eggs, and sourdough bread. I took a picture of a grapefruit bowl worth purchasing. We didn’t get it. We should have. they cook your eggs to perfection if you like Sunny side up.

It was one of the best simple breakfasts I've had in a long time. The hash browns crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, the eggs were perfect, and the toast was from a local bakery. They also have a senior menu and vegan items as well. I have been back a second time now. The coffee is good and they good biscuits and gravy. Only cons: Automatic surcharge for parties over 6 and surcharge for using a credit card.

We went for a breakfast and we were pleasantly surprised by the brunch selection. The place definitely has a strong french influence, although the dishes don't follow a strict french tradition but they are excellent. The orders came with a fresh and welcome fruit salad. The coffee was great as they have a good espresso machine. Would come back!
